Grizzly Graduates Transfer Scholarship(s)

Students:

This is the scholarship application for all Butler Foundation transfer scholarships. To be eligible to apply for these scholarships you are required to complete graduation requirements for an associate degree in May 2026. Scholarship winners will be announced at either the Honors & Awards Ceremony or Commencement.

Honors Ceremony will be May 15th at 1:30 p.m. in the Gym – 500 building on the El Dorado Campus
Commencement will be May 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the BG Products Veterans Sports Complex in El Dorado

Listed below are the available transfer scholarships and their criteria:

ALL APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE ONE LETTTER OF RECOMMENDATION EMAILED TO KYLA GASTON BY APRIL 10, 2026

• * Butler Community College Trustee Scholarship – $1,000; paid over two semesters*
  a. You must be a resident of Butler County or have graduated from a Butler County High School
  b. You must have a GPA of 3.75 in all college coursework

• Crossland Family Scholarship – $5,000; paid over four semesters*
  a. Transfer to Pittsburg State University

• Lindsey Carter Fields Excellence in Science Scholarship – $1,500; paid over two semesters*
  a. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher in all college coursework
  b. You must be enrolled in one of Butler’s Early College Academy programs and completing your associate degree
  c. You must be continuing your education in biology or science related field

• David and Shirley Longfellow BEST Scholarship – $1,500; paid over two semesters*
  a. Transfer to Emporia State University AND be enrolled in the BEST program.

• Fran Jabara Presidential Business Scholarship – $1,500; paid over two semester*
  a. Transfer to Wichita State University AND major in a business related field
  b. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher in all college coursework

• Hubbard Award of Excellence – transfer institution of your choice – $15,000; paid over four semesters*
  a. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher in all college coursework
  b. You must be enrolled full time (12 or more hours) at Butler and have completed 4 semesters at Butler upon degree completion

• Winnie Broers Estate Scholarship – transfer to University of Kansas or Kansas State University – $2,000; paid over two semesters*
  a. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher in all college coursework
  b. Students majoring in nursing or the medical field are excluded per the donor’s criteria
