Winnie Broers
Winnie Broers created a lasting legacy through scholarships established through her will. Her estate gifts established the Winnie Broers Memorial Scholarship and the Winnie Broers Estate Scholarship, a transfer scholarship for eligible students attending the University of Kansas or Kansas State University. By giving generously through her estate, Winnie’s gifts have lasted in perpetuity and provided opportunities to many Butler students throughout the years.
Impact
The Winnie Broers Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a nursing student with consideration given to academics and personal character. The Winnie Broers Estate Scholarship is awarded to one graduating sophomore who is continuing their education at Kansas State University or the University of Kansas.
