Teresa Riffel

Teresa Riffel, daughter of Keith Riffel, is a Butler Community College graduate. Teresa attended Butler as a single parent, adult learner. The scholarships Teresa received were instrumental in her affording college. While at Butler she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and received Order of the Purple honors. Teresa graduated with a transfer scholarship to Newman University where she achieved Magna Cum Laude honors. She holds a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Friends University. The the time Teresa established this scholarship she was the vice president of quality at Cirrus Aircraft Company in Duluth, Minnesota. Teresa has since retired from the aircraft industry and is enjoying being retired.

Teresa’s Father, Keith Riffel, was a General Manager at Beech Aircraft where he held various management positions for over 42 years. He was a Volunteer at the Wichita Division of Junior Achievement of KS and a member of the Wichita Area Manufacturer’s Association. Keith also was a member and officer of both the Beech Employees Club and the Beech Supervisor’s Club.
