About the Ted Powe Memorial Scholarship: Ted Powe was born on February 15, 1977 in Council Grove, Kansas. Ted received his certification in automobile body work and painting from Butler. He had worked for Fishers Auto, Fenton Auto, and Automotive Specialists in El Dorado for a number of years. Like his father John, Ted loved to work and tinker with cars.
