
T.J. Ohlemeier
About the Ohlemeier Family Scholarship: T.J. established this fund in honor of New York City’s first black police officer in 1911, Samuel J. Battle. Battle later went on to become the first black sergeant (1926), the ftist black lieutenant (1935) and the city’s first black parole commissioner (1941). T.J. has been involved in law enforcement for many years.
