Shirley Ann Jackson
About the Shirley A. Jackson Music Scholarship: Shirley Ann Jackson established the scholarship in 2019. Shirley played the flute in the Augusta band. Music was a huge part of the Jackson family. Shirley wishes to impact a instrumental or vocal music student with this scholarship to help them with their future.
About the Fritz Buell Scholarship: Shirley Ann Jackson established the scholarship in 2005 in memory of her brother Fritz Buell. Fritz graduated from Augusta High School in 1948. Fritz attended Butler and sang in a men’s quartet. His first job after school was with Boeing where he became involved with computers. Later he and others started a company called AID doing work for small companies that could not afford computers. He then went to work in the computer department for Clinton Oil Company which later became Energy Reserves. His last employment was with KOCH Industries in the Exploration Division setting up the computer department. After his retirement in 1995 he continued working on his computer doing genealogy.
