Mack & Barbara McCormick

The McCormick/Bothwell Scholarship was established by Mack and Barbara McCormick of Florence, Oregon, in 1996 to support El Dorado High School graduates hailing from the Riverside neighborhood, Mack’s childhood neighborhood. The scholarship is given in memory of Charles Robinson McCormick and Charles Avery Bothwell, Mack’s grandfathers. Mack or “Doc” graduated from El Dorado High School in 1938. Doc worked for Eli Lilly Company for many years. He is known for helping to develop many antibiotics we still use today.
