Lola Lee Jackson Animal Welfare Foundation

Lola Lee Jackson Animal Welfare Foundation

The Lola Lee Jackson Animal Welfare Foundation, recognizing Butler’s reputable Agriculture program, established their scholarship to assist students focusing on a career in animal welfare. Those well-versed in the agriculture field will say that those are the people who take the best care of their animals. Joel David Jackson, the son of Lola Lee Campbell Jackson and the director of the Foundation, carries on his Mother’s legacy at the Jackson Ranch & Stables. The Jackson Ranch has a breeding and training program for Pinto American Saddlebred horses. During Lola Lee’s lifetime she owned, bred, trained, and showed many state, national, and world champion horses. She is buried next to her husband Melvin LeRoy Jackson at the ranch.
