John Harstine

John and Ena “Rae” moved to El Dorado from the Tulsa, Oklahoma area in 1963 and remained in the area until 2006. John was a chemical engineer with Skelly Oil and later retired from Texaco. Rae retired from Susan B. Allen Hospital where she was an OB/GYN nurse for many years. Rae graduated from the Baylor University School of Nursing. She spent many years in the nursing field in both Kansas and Oklahoma. John wanted to establish this scholarship in honor of his wife and her nursing career.
