Gerald & Elsie Haines

The Haines Family Scholarship began with the memorial gifts from the passing of Vernice Haines. Vernice, a Butler alumna, was a long-time educator in the El Dorado area. Additionally, Gerald Haines, as well as he and Elsie’s children; Cynthia, Dan, Bryan, Jerri and Vince attended or graduated from Butler. Gerald, Vernice’s nephew, and wife Elsie wanted to see this scholarship fund grow through gifts given by their family. Gerald and Elsie selflessly have encouraged their children to donate to the Haines Family Scholarship in lieu of gifts at Christmas and other special occasions.
