Gayle & Kaye Krause

The George & Esther Neumeyer Scholarship was established in 1984. Esther studied nursing in Hutchinson, Kansas and received her R.N. in 1929. In 1939 she became head nurse of Remington Arms Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut and after retiring in 1975, remained active in the profession until her death in 1983. When George Neumeyer, Esther’s brother, died in 1993 the scholarship name was changed to include him. Mr. Neumeyer died at the age of 99 and 11 months.
