Dorothy Shoemake & Glenda Shoemake

The Dorothy I. Shoemake Memorial Scholarship was established in 1985 in memory of Dorothy Shoemake of El Dorado, the greatly loved mother of three daughters, whose dream it was to become a nurse which was unfulfilled in the 1930s due to financial reasons. It was Dorothy’s desire to help other young women realize their dream.
