About the Gary E. Wilkerson, RN. Scholarship for Nursing: Established by Gary Wilkerson’s wife, Cheryl, and two sons, Matthew and Marcus Wilkerson in his memory. Gary Wilkerson of Severy was a longtime El Dorado resident who graduated from Butler County School of Nursing in 1982. He worked as a nurse for 24 years, the past 10 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital as a surgery and recovery nurse.
